It requires experience and understanding of clients’ portfolios, the existing service model and analytics requirement. The candidate is also expected to be mindful of the existing and newly established analytics capabilities and solutions; how they are used by Global Analytics and other business functions

LGIM’s Global Analytics team is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a firm wide strategic source for instrument, portfolio and client level analytics. This involves evaluation, selection of off-the-shelf analytics service provider(s), methodologies and utilizing internally built solutions that are able to support LGIM’s complex investment analytics needs.

The Global Analytics team is also required to provide our clients, consultants and internal stakeholders with value-add sophisticated portfolio / investment analysis.

It requires experience and understanding of clients’ portfolios, the existing service model and analytics requirement. The candidate is also expected to be mindful of the existing and newly established analytics capabilities and solutions; how they are used by Global Analytics and other business functions.

The person in this role must have the ability to interpret and prioritise client requirements, with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, timing and understanding of client reporting needs.

 

 

Deliver processes with pre-set deadlines to support other business areas by providing accurate and relevant analytics data.

 

Review and complete ad-hoc requests which involve producing or delivering analytics data with a view that processes and data delivery should be automated where possible, and any non-standard requests should be assessed from a risk perspective. Escalate potential issues to management.

 

The person in this role will be expected to contribute towards defining, building and constantly improving the Global Analytics servicing methodologies, processes and infrastructure.

 

Maintain detailed understanding of all current and future clients’ analytics requirements. Promote a scalable analytics service model within the wider business – with Distribution and Investments in particular.

 

Build a good understanding of our clients, products and the business as well as our current analytics infrastructure and capabilities so this person can actively contribute towards developing our capabilities based on industry wide changes as well as changing client requirements.

 

Identify and follow up on process inefficiencies, and technical development with the intention of enhancing client experience. Continually seek out areas of improvement, identifying and implementing efficiencies as well as taking an active role in projects that will benefit both clients and the business.

 

Develop and maintain knowledge of the current investment market, economic issues and LGIM’s views, enabling you to discuss report designs and solutions with clients and consultants.

3-4 years of experience in similar analytical role(s) and has an appreciation of industry best practice but willing to take a pragmatic approach where required.

Strong academic background with preferably a numerical or economics degree.

 

Excellent overall investment knowledge including a detailed understanding of financial derivatives and the different roles they play in investment strategies.

 

Specialist knowledge of investment strategies, investment vehicles, systems, accounting and reporting requirements.

 

Technical and IT literate who understands systems, automation and optimisation. Experience with LGIM infrastructure and applications are nice to have.
