The ETF Analyst role is a newly created role to help support the growing ETF business

The Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) team have recently joined the Index Funds to build out a fully comprehensive ETF business. The ambition is to have up to 50 ETFs on the market over the next two years from our current 22 ETFs. The ETF Analyst role is a newly created role to help support the growing business. The ideal candidate would have a background in asset management and have a keen interest in producing fund research, collateral and analytics.

The duties & responsibilites are as follows:

Manage ETF collateral (70%)

  • Maintain and evolve ETF collateral (sales decks, cheatsheets, earnings reports, peer monitors)
  • Prepare research and quantitative reports (ETF performance, risk metrics, attribution, subsector analysis, stock analysis, etc)
  • Respond to sales requests

Participate in sales and marketing efforts (15%)

  • Support sales team in meetings to help drive AUM and revenues
  • Conduct training sessions for the sales team to help drive the messaging and positioning of ETF range
  • Analyse holders in comparable products to generate potential target lists for new meetings and client interactions

Contribute to product development (15%)

  • Monitor the market and regulatory changes for new ETF opportunities
  • Proactively forge new relationships with research/data vendors and index providers to help lay the foundation for new index development
  • Write business cases for new ETF launches
  • Help with researching, developing and maintaining investment strategies

Required Skills & Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Advanced Excel user (some programming skills preferred)
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg preferred
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Confident communicator and public speaker
  • Fluency in one of the following languages: German, Italian and/or Spanish
  • An understanding of how indices work and are designed
  • An understanding of how ETFs work and are traded
  • An ability to bring fresh and innovative thinking to old processes and systems
  • An ability to analyse and contextualise macroeconomic content that is relevant to our range of ETFs using second-order thinking
  • An ability to produce, maintain and update sales collateral on a regular basis
