A PMO Analyst is required to work with the central LGIM PMO team to support the Manager of the Portfolio(s) and Project(s) they are assigned to. The role will be focussed on project-centric duties with typically 20% for central LGIM PMO functions and exercises. They will have significant project support experience and excellent data-analysis capabilities.

Support project delivery which will encompass:

  • Project resource forecasting;
  • Project finance management;
  • RAID maintenance and action follow-up alongside the PM;
  • Meeting co-ordination and attendance for all formal meetings;
  • Provide planning assistance to the Stream Leads to ensure consistent plans;
  • Support for monthly project status reporting;
  • Ensure adherence to the Change Delivery Process / governance;
  • Maintain the time recording toolset (ServiceNow) which will involve, for example, user access management and running the month-end process delivering outputs to Finance. 
  • Coordinate the delivery and contribute to the content of Change Board / Senior Management information packs
  • Project portfolio administration / maintenance, covering in-flight projects, pipeline projects and project concepts. Importantly the recruit need to have a clear view of all projects to identify and manage dependencies and synergies
  • Other PMO related tasks as directed or delegated by the PM and the line manager (this will be one of the central LGIM PMO Managers)
  • Previous project centric PMO experience across projects including software development and vendor-implementation
  • Extensive experience of working in the financial services sector
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of project lifecycles
  • Has worked with and understands project governance and controls
  • Ideally can demonstrate experience of having been the administrator of a time recording system
  • Experience with analysing large alpha / numeric data sets
  • Can interpret project finances and has demonstrable experience of resource forecasting maintaining both of these for multiple projects
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Word and particularly Excel. Skill-level must be Intermediate or above.
  • Can show that they have good attention to detail
  • Good communication abilities demonstrating skill at reading stakeholders and balancing messages with tact and assertiveness
  • Good prioritisation skills enabling them to balance their workload
  • A proactive individual that can demonstrate that they can use their initiative. The candidate must show how they have added value in their career to-date without constant direction.
  • Experience of being the Chair. of project meetings; driving the meeting to a satisfactory outcome and documenting the decisions
  • PRINCE 2 Practioner or equivalent preferred
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment
