Provide an exceptional level of relationship and SORP reporting support to segregated and pooled strategic clients. Acting  as the first port of call for all escalated enquiries Client Reporting Manager whilst maintaining excellent working relations with internal key business areas at all times

The Client Reporting Group within Client Services Operations sits under the Distribution channel of Legal & Generals’ Investment Management business (LGIM).

The Reporting Group delivers client and fund reporting services across global mandates and client bases. This role sits within a team tasked with providing first class consolidating reporting activities through the production of a diverse suite of reports covering the full range of LGIM’s investment capabilities and platforms.  A key requirement of this role is to consistently demonstrate solution based thinking, adding value in to the Client Service package so as to deliver strong service Alpha to our institutional and internal group clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Within our UK client focused reporting team the candidate will be expected to interact directly with clients/consultants, serving as a key Senior SME to discuss the client’s strategy and reporting requirements. They will be required to have a significant understanding of the data, systems and strategic mandates we run, working alongside the relationship teams, RFP, and Implementation areas to meet client needs. The Senior Specialist will also be responsible for the following:

  • Own and manage end to end production and delivery of weekly, monthly & quarterly client deliverables and reports, ensuring they are delivered accurate and in a timely manner, deliverables include;
  • Investment reports
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Ad-hoc requests
  • Regular reporting tasks
  • Oversight and ownership of the collation and the timely delivery of data to clients and consultants, ensuring services are delivered within agreed SLA guidelines, and in compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate a significant level of Investment Management technical knowledge and detailed understanding of LGIM’s products, brand, competitors and clients, the investment decision making processes and long term objectives involved.
  • Attend and greatly contribute to regular product and client review calls, plus new client on-boarding meetings. Be on-hand to discuss any reporting or strategy points and capture any key requirements as a result of discussions taking the opportunity to demonstrate a focus on delivering excellent client focused service and expertise.
  • Take complete ownership of delivering solutions to client requirements, work closely with client relationship peers, product specialists and investment desk support teams to define scalable processes and seek ways to further enhance client experience.
  • Dependable and reliable support to the Head of the team, a figure head as a Senior for the other Investment Reporting Specialists to follow, emulate and go to.
  • Feedback to the team and other business areas around client trends and data requirements ensuring the business is positioned to deliver against client expectations.
  • Work with areas of expertise around the business to project manage ad-hoc queries, data requests and client change, through to completion in line with client expectations
  • Promote a procedural and control mind-set alongside the solution hat to ensure tasks and controls are consistently documented and reflected to allow top rate accuracy, quality and timeliness of reports and data provided to clients whilst mitigating risk.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Strong experience of working within the investment management / custodial industry including providing an exceptional level of client service and support to clients
  • Deep knowledge of industry investable instruments including Derivatives and the associated accounting and operational management of owning these in a client mandate. (Collateral management reporting etc)
  • Good understanding of the various investment vehicles and strategy types run by LGIM
  • Previous experience in production of Reporting outputs to various stakeholders Internal / External clients (not necessarily in the Investment Management industry)
  • Solid track record of dealing with external and internal clients, building significant relationships with contacts up to and including senior levels
  • Demonstrable ‘Solutions’ mind set, able to bring to the table consistent positive approach to delivering for our clients even when challenged with system and data limitations.
  • Prior experience of acting in a Senior SME capacity and providing support to deputise for management.
  • High awareness of industry trends and regulatory changes that will impact Investment Reporting
  • Extensive knowledge of industry vendors and tools available to Investment Reporting teams.
  • Significant attention to detail and able to demonstrate high levels of accuracy and thoroughness.  (Examples to be discussed in potential interviews)
  • Strong workflow management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Must possess a strong level of business ‘gravitas’
  • Proficient IT skills, primarily with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong academic background, preferably Degree qualified
  • IMC preferred but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Highly team-orientated
  • Proactive and proven to work on your own initiative
