The primary function of the Supplier and Software Governance Manager Manager is to manage the relationship for a defined list of Suppliers. It is a key interface between Suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance (software and contractual) and cost optimisation.

Strategy

  • Understand the LGIM Infrastructure strategy and support the team leadership in the execution of the strategy
  • Support the Technology Operations approach to Supplier Governance
  • Support the assessment of third-party services capability and deliverables
  • Maintain awareness of ITIL framework and in line with preferred partners implement as required

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that value for money is obtained from all suppliers.
  • Works with the team manager to ensure IT Services are delivered according to contractual needs.
  • Track and report Supplier quality and productivity gains.
  • Works with the team manager to create Supplier dashboards and scorecards, review and report.
  • Review key metrics and overall performance with internal stakeholders and Supplier representatives.
  • Provide support for regulatory and internal audits and regular compliance reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring software asset management compliance and optimisation including assisting in true-up, renewal and additional purchase activities.
  • Responsible for monitoring software management process improvements, metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Creates, maintains makes available a record of service levels associated with services provided.
  • Monitors and reports on Service Levels.
  • In consultation with the customer negotiates service level requirements and agrees service levels.
  • Diagnoses service delivery problems and initiates actions to maintain or improve levels of service.
  • Carry out service level agreement audits and extract necessary information to maintain currency with IT Service Catalogues and enable the IT department to establish and deliver effective and efficient services.
  • Ensures that all IT Service Management processes, Operational Level Agreements and Underpinning Contracts are appropriate for the agreed service level targets.
  • Seeks to continually and proactively improve service delivery and sustainability targets.
  • Establishes and maintains operational methods, procedures and facilities in assigned area of responsibility and reviews them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.

Academic Qualifications

  • Graduate calibre, although degree not essential

Technical and Professional Qualifications

  • ITIL certified practitioner is desirable, demonstrable experience of delivering utilising the ITIL framework is mandatory
  • Demonstrated history of learning, particularly in the IT Infrastructure environment e.g. conferences or specific training courses relating to IT Infrastructure

Experience and Background

  • Solid and proven experience of Supplier and Software management in a multi sourced environment
  • Demonstrable exposure to 24*7 / Global / Highly Available operations

Competence and Characteristics

  • Sound planning & organisation skills. Target and customer focused, proactive, analytical and a Strong operational service delivery & staff leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills must have strong problem solving abilities, a technical mindset and the desire and determination to continually drive change and improvement
  • Ability to problem solve, think creatively and adapt quickly to a new and developing type of service delivery

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

  • Good knowledge of Infrastructure and IT Operations for an Institutional Fund Management company
