To contribute to defining and helping to drive LGIM Retail’s distribution strategy in the UK and EMEA.

  • To contribute to defining and helping to drive LGIM Retail’s distribution strategy in the UK and EMEA.
  • Working with areas throughout LGIM to ensure the product suite, marketing collateral, messaging and distribution approach is tailored to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Maintain retail distribution strategy as a centre of technical product and investment expertise within LGIM Retail distribution.
  • To contribute to and help drive LGIM Retail’s distribution strategy in the UK and EMEA
  • Provide senior management with updates on market / LGIM Retail's progress / strategy as needed.
  • Work to ensure LGIM’s retail fund range is positioned to deliver to desired client outcomes, increase profitability and net sales
  • Obtain client feedback on products and new initiatives to feed into product design / messaging
  • Provide support for relationship management / new business pitches as needed
  • Present to clients on strategies / investment capability as needed
  • Monitor financial clarity / sales data, work with sales managers to better target sales efforts
  • Provide sales managers (and other areas) with insight into competitor funds / landscape as needed
  • Arrange / Undertake product / strategy / capability training as required
  • Keep up-to-date with industry and regulatory developments / trends
  • Contribute to the annual target planning process and product/asset class sales forecasting and budget discussions
  • Working with areas throughout LGIM to ensure the product suite, marketing collateral and messaging and distribution approach is tailored to meet the needs of our clients, including:

Product

  • Work with product development to drive client focused product development programme
  • Work with product management to deliver client focused product enhancements
  • Provide distribution input into product reviews / initiatives

Marketing

  • Provide input to ensure marketing materials meet client requirements.
  • Work to ensure that key client messaging for capabilities / funds are accurate, consistent and reflected in marketing materials
  • Provide input into the development of core messaging and tactical marketing opportunities
  • Provide support for PR initiatives

Investment Teams / Product Specialists

  • Maintain close relationships with investment teams / product specialists
  • Keep up-to-date with investment views, strategy and capability developments
  • Provide client / sales feedback where appropriate

Essential Skills/Knowledge

  • BA (Hons) or relative experience
  • IMC
  • Experience working closely in product design and investment strategies essential as well as an understanding of the sales process within asset management. 

Technical / Product knowledge: A solid technical knowledge of pooled investment vehicles is essential

Investment knowledge: A deep understanding of investments and ability to explain the portfolio construction across product categories. 

Competitor/Market Awareness: A rounded understanding of the asset management market and competitive environment is essential

Investment Strategies: Granular understanding of investment strategies and what is permitted within a UCITS framework is essential

Commercial: A strong entrepreneurial mind set focussed on finding opportunities is essential

Behaviours: Proactive, excellent communicator, ability to think creatively, the ability to present and excellent stakeholder relationship management are all essential characteristics required to perform this role.
