Significant experience of corporate debt asset management and wider debt markets. Experienced in the housing association sector would be especially valuable. This can have been attained either in banking or buy-side investment institutions.

  • Work with other asset managers across the Private Credit platform to establish a comprehensive strategy for asset management within the context of LGIM’s Private Credit team.
  • Review to insure credit, financial and documentary performance of individual assets or borrowers is in line with expectations.
  • Have a key role in assisting management teams, reporting on individual asset and overall portfolio performance in line with client requirements.
  • On-going scrutiny, oversight and recording of covenant performance
  • Create and maintain of a log of key transaction dates and information requirements such as interest/principal payments, evidence of insurance etc.
  • Manage and track reporting requirements, including ensuring all necessary information is provided on time, and is satisfactory.
  • Liaising with related parties (e.g. agents/security trustees/accounting team) as required
  • Manage and maintainance of security schedules, including property classification and ensuring valuation methodologies are aligned to covenant and transaction requirements.
  • Lead the production of quarterly credit reviews, utilising the input and expertise of the deal team as required.
  • Ensure deteriorating performance is acknowledged and managed     accordingly.         
  • Coordinate with the lead analyst on amendments/waivers or any subsequent requirement to restructure an investment. 
  • Be involved in on-going, ad hoc projects. This will be primarily focused on analysis of how particular investments or parameters relate to the overall portfolio and involve working with other asset managers and the portfolio management team.            
  • Work with the rest of the team in both a support and advisory capacity to ensure investment outcomes are optimised.       
  • Educated to degree level
  • Proven significant and relevant experience of corporate debt asset management and wider debt markets.
  • Experience of issues management, including managing deteriorating credit positions  
  • Good ability to build and maintain confidence of the key stakeholders, both internal and external including LGIM senior management, portfolio managers.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, to build effective relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Good ability to set a positive personal example, helping to  develop talent through the provision of advice and mentorship 
  • Proven ability to structure and enhance processes achieving required governance and control standards
  • Organised, focused and self-motivated with strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of debt markets and with a focus on housing associations or structured credit
  • Excellent excel and power point presentation skills for the production of management information
  • Excellent investment management reporting skills and experience
  • Working proficiency of Boomberg and Black Mountain
