The role is focused on providing a comprehensive new business support service to the LGIM DC Pensions Business Development Team. This position involves responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), due diligence questionnaires, new business enquiries and preparing presentation materials as required.

This role could be based in London or Cardiff.

The role is focused on providing a comprehensive new business support service to the LGIM DC Pensions Business Development Team. This position involves responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), due diligence questionnaires, new business enquiries and preparing presentation materials as required.

  • The successful candidate will be the primary contact in providing responses to enquiries from prospective clients on LGIM’s technology landscape and information security processes.
  • Complete accurate and high quality submissions in response to requests from prospective/existing clients and consultants
  • Respond to general enquiries for information and data from internal and external clients, consultants and EBCs
  • Support the team in maintaining and reviewing RFP databases (Qvidian) and standard RFP documents on a periodic and ad hoc basis, as well as create new ad hoc profiles as appropriate
  • Establish and manage a virtual IT RFP response team to:
  • regularly update materials to a high professional standard (these should be used for other internal purposes)
  • develop and maintain a response process that is able to bring together responses in a very quick and efficient manner with shared delegated responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to existing processes, by reviewing and recommending developments that improve quality and efficiency including production of new materials to address gaps in the IT/information security document library
  • Liaise with LGIM’s investment specialists, platform specialist, relationship managers, IT business areas, and a variety of other departments to answer all the questions
  • Ensure the principles of Treating Customers Fairly are central to all activities and that items prepared provide customers with clear and appropriate information
  • Continuously build on existing product knowledge and work with other areas of the business to improve written content
  • Build relationships with colleague internally to support the sales support process
  • Excellent communication and people skills are essential (the purpose of this role is to facilitate engagement from various business areas)
  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships across the business
  • Ability to manage and benefit from virtual meetings, with limited reliance on face-to-face meetings
  • Experience of either pensions administration, investment management or RFP writing is  desirable
  • A high standard of written English is essential
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience of developing and maintaining a database of answers is useful
  • Ability to self-manage and work in a dynamic environment
  • High level of resilience
  • Ability to proof read with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise work load, work under pressure and to meet deadlines
