Role Summary

 

The successful candidate will have the benefit of working on two of Real Assets rapidly growing property equity funds with plenty of scope for career development in a challenging and rewarding role.

 

The candidate will lead on all pricing, modelling and structuring across the two Funds and will also be client facing and involved in investor updates and capital raising.

 

In addition, this person will also have a broader role, collaborating with other departments across the platform to improve investment and strategy decisions carried out across the Real Assets platform.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities – Annuity Portfolio and LPI Fund

 

 

Lead responsible for all long income property pricing and modelling which includes

Detailed cashflow modelling of prospective transactions to aid the investment decision making process.

Analyse the relative value of property versus fixed income investments, including the selection of comparator bonds and application of methodology.

Create, maintain and evolve fund models to assess the impact of transactions on portfolio level risk and return metrics.

Communicate model outputs verbally to the Fund Manager and Transactions team and in writing through the drafting of the relevant sections of investment committee papers.

Responsible for calculating risk ladders and instructing interest rate and inflation hedging alongside transactions

Respond to requests from investment consultants for various fund metrics. For example cashflow projections, spread and duration calculations.

Monitor, assess and report on the impact of movements in key market indicators.

Support FM in consultant and investor pitches, presentations and regular updates with a view to business generation and creation.

Support FM in the preparation of Fund strategy and business plans, presenting to stakeholders.

Provide technical input to the Fund valuation process with evaluation of valuers models.

Excellent academic background with a numerical aptitude and tertiary qualifications in Finance or related.

CFA charterholder or similar professional qualifications an advantage

Excellent Excel skills. Experience with Visual Basic an advantage.

Experience in liability matching, fixed income and property asset classes.

An innovative approach to identifying and implementing ways of analysing fund and market data.

Excellent communication skills required with a degree of client interface expected.

Significant analytical and modelling experience, together with solid commercial acumen.

A team player demonstrating high levels of energy, dynamism and commitment

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
