LGIM is looking for a Business Analyst to define and implement a series of business operational and system changes to support the ongoing needs of the organisation

This role resides within the Business Analysis function within the Business Change team. The Business change team is responsible for LGIM’s change portfolio and the Business Analysis team is responsible for helping to navigate business change through the change framework, influencing and helping to direct solutions and design through the lifecycle of the projects.

LGIM is looking for a Business Analyst to define and implement a series of business operational and system changes to support the ongoing needs of the organisation. The Business Analyst will be required to work across the business and operational teams, and with technical delivery colleagues. This role is responsible for eliciting the business requirements, defining the operational models and specifying technical solution requirements across a range of projects.

The ideal candidate will possess the right balance of business understanding, stakeholder engagement skills and project delivery experience.  The candidate must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively within a matrix management environment. Excellent communications skills are a pre-requisite.

  • Delivery of operating model process flows and activity diagrams, as-is and to-be
  • Drive and manage agreement of business requirements and technical requirements with the relevant business and technology teams
  • Validate resource requirements and cost estimates for analysis and other deliverables
  • Assist in preparation of project business case
  • Support creation of test plans/scripts
  • Ensure defects and changing requirements are tracked and managed through project lifecycle
  • Ensure traceability from project objectives to delivered change
  • Ensure adherence to best practices for analysis and project delivery
  • Escalate risks and issues to project manager in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Degree level education preferred

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Financial Services, especially Investment Management
  • Structured approach to analysis and documentation
  • Experience of requirements gathering and operating model definition
  • Experience of investment operations including collateral, securities lending and reporting
  • Experience of Agile/iterative delivery
  • Experience of full project lifecycle
  • Sound understanding of IT software and infrastructure
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organised with strong time-management skills

Qualifications:

  • Degree level education preferred
  • Business analysis qualification preferred
