Data Business Analyst to join the Nexus Change Management team and will be part of a data workstream delivering into a strategic front office project through standard data services.

The successful candidate report to the Head of Nexus Change Management and will be part of a data workstream delivering into a strategic front office project through standard data services. The role entails the analysis of data to produce user stories and artefacts in conjunction with end data consumers and data architects to deliver for development and testing.

Analysis

  • Estimate the time required to carry out analysis tasks
  • Work with data consumers, the Data Management Office and the wider business change team to gather requirements  
  • Deliver analysis artefacts; user stories, with defined acceptance criteria and any associated mapping specifications for development and testing
  • Presentation of user stories to the Agile team; the product owner, developers and QA to arrive at appropriate technical solutions and estimates
  • Providing analysis on defects and changing requirements as projects progress
  • Ensure any business as usual processes are handed over and accepted by the BAU teams

Testing

  • Work closely with the QA team to review defects
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing sign off for technical deliverables and support the users in executing UAT
  • Graduate calibre, although degree not essential.
  • Self-starter, delivery focused, with a positive attitude
  • Able to work with limited supervision.  
  • Demonstrate accountability and ability to adapt and improve.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the Asset Management Industry, financial products, technologies and data domains.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managers, and subject matter experts, building positive and productive relationships.
  • Demonstrate ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Collaborative approach to working with developers, architects, the Data Management Team and subject matter experts alike, to establish the approach to projects, and ensure good communication of requirements.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge both in the analysis of data and exposure to data architecture/modeling concepts.
  • Aptitude for analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment.
  • Must have experience of working on Data project/s.
  • Demonstrated ability in working with data, creating data specifications/mappings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop user stories.
  • Knowledge of SQL required to analyse data sets
  • Experience working with XML data sets and schemas
  • Experience of data services an advantage
