The role of the Product Specialist is to work collaboratively with the Investment and Distribution teams, to take the lead in making the following happen as either Architect, Owner, Deliverer, Co-ordinator or Contributor,

The role of the Product Specialist is to work collaboratively with the Investment and Distribution teams, to take the lead in making the following happen as either Architect, Owner, Deliverer, Co-ordinator or Contributor, as the case may be:

  • Information: Drive production and improvement of an up to date set of core product information, including the ‘message house’, external and internal collateral;
  • Communication: Support the delivery of materials, updates, case studies and thought leadership to bring products and services to life in real time;   
  • Solutions: Create standard presentation slides and RFP content to support client specific queries and lead non-standard Presentation and RFP production; and
  • Innovation: Drive forward continuous improvement of existing and new projects, products and services, and support the business strategy of each investment area.
  • Coordination of queries/ requests: Act as a central contact point for Distribution and Investment queries for the Corporate Governance team

In relation to the Corporate Governance, Sustainability and ESG funds and services: 

Product Marketing:

  • Be able to communicate complex analysis and sophisticated ideas in a concise and coherent fashion, both externally and internally, in writing and in person. 
  • Support the team with presentations to a range of clients, potential clients, consultants, intermediaries and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in structuring new business presentations and support materials
  • Develop materials for on-going education needs of the client relationship managers, clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
  • Develop process and necessary tools and systems to oversee and monitor client queries, questions and comments
  • Tailor responses to queries, RFPs, due diligence, comments, surveys and requests that come into the team from clients and other external parties
  • Function as a primary contact point with the RFP team, distribution, other product specialists on client requests
  • Support the preparation for client meetings, presentations and seminars
  • Liaise with other teams as necessary across the wider business
  • Opportunity to be involved in new projects and initiatives

 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sustainability, economics, or financial valuation
  • Demonstrable experience of working in the financial industry, with knowledge of investments across asset classes
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, particularly with other teams across the business
  • Ability to manage and contribute to projects
  • Enthusiastic and engaged, with a keen willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge and experience in asset management
  • Knowledge of equities and fixed income
  • Awareness of stewardship, corporate governance or ESG would be an advantage
