The Real Assets Data Services team is dedicated to providing a first-class service to the Real Assets division.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Ensure strategic partners maintain adherence to LGIM Real Assets data quality standards to ensure robust and reliable information persists across the platform.
  • Collate data for Real Estate Investment Funds consisting of over 750 commercial buildings across a multitude of sectors including: - Offices, Retail, Leisure and Industrial.
  • Track progress of data upstream to ensure it reaches intended stakeholders by specified timetable, raising support cases where necessary to resolve.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of any issues being resolved to preclude distribution of incorrect information.
  • Provide Front to Back office support related to data requests and queries working with both technical and non-technical teams internally and externally.
  • Record interconnects and dependencies on existing systems and impacts of additional systems or data supply.
  • Maintain system configuration to enable business requirements and meet governance policies

Principal accountabilities:

  • Monitor daily scheduled finance data loading tasks to ensure that LGIM Fund Accounting receive all required data in timely fashion to cut daily unit prices and Fund NAVs;
  • Ensure timely non-financial data uploads from third party sources (i.e. Managing Agents, Property Valuers and Performance Benchmark providers) are achieved and exceptions managed before committing data to the warehouse.
  • Own the data control processes, standards and governance throughout the data pattern.
  • Work with relevant teams to resolve technical issues.  
  • Identify areas of data requiring further conditioning then define and apply rules to improve or eradicate data issues.
  • Support the LGIM Real Assets Front Office in ad-hoc data queries and field requests from the wider L&G Group where data sharing is permissible. 
  • Conduct onboarding guidance for new third parties undertaking data submissions.
  • Develop solutions to provide data insight via report creation or tool configuration in conjunction to sourcing and onboarding relevant data.
  • Understand the key data flows relied upon by the real estate business to feed the data aggregator, fund modelling platform, data warehouse and various other upstream applications.
  • Carry out small change projects to convert manual data collection into verified automated processes.
  • Provide feedback on systems and identify product enhancements to assist end user activity either as a primary user or for administration.
  • Liaise with third party suppliers to adopt relevant SaaS releases to support maximum system reliability and suitability.
  • Liaise with Real Assets Knowledge Cell and Business Analysts where appropriate.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Level 4 computing related education (UK Gov)
  • Or five years’ experience

Knowledge:

  • Data management and Governance
  • GDPR including for B2C, B2B, B2B2C and Outside EEA.
  • Proven knowledge of database management from both internal and external data sources.
  • Databases including structured and unstructured.
  • Designing and running appropriate system upgrade testing plans and user acceptance testing.

Skills:

  • Advanced Level of Excel knowledge, Power BI or data visualisation skills advantageous.
  • Be comfortable with large datasets and reconciling them
  • Business analysis skills beneficial
