The Nexus Quant Developer role sits within the Nexus Quant team and works closely with the Quantitative strategist team. The ideal candidate is will have experience in Quantitative Analysis with python experience.

ROLE SUMMARY

Nexus is joint initiative by sponsored by CIO and COO. Nexus’s mandate is to create a single, integrated platform for how LGIM views manage and report on its portfolios, drawing on a single, golden source of data. 

Over the years, Individual business units have significant quantitative assets built in various technologies including C#, MATLAB, Excel/VBA, Python .Most of these systems exist in silos, one of the key Nexus objectives is to define the enterprise wide risk architecture and create a central Nexus risk engine (NSE) from ground up. NSE will leverage existing, quantitative assets and chosen third party analytics provider Axioma.

The Nexus Quant Developer role sits within the Nexus Quant team and works closely with the Quantitative strategist team. The ideal candidate is will have experience in Quantitative Analysis with python experience. Nexus is in the process of starting to use Python for all model development and migrating existing models from various technologies to Python .The developer will be one of the initial members guiding the python competency.

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

Core Competencies

  • Python experience.
  • Analysis in the Quantitative space, data requirements, developing and back testing of models.
  • Academic background in Quantitative, Finance or Certifications like CFA, FRM etc.
  • A methodical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and recognise dependencies and deliver to deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with record of being able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Asset management experience
