The focus of the Fund Reporting Specialist is to plan, co-ordinate and produce the annual statutory accounts and partnership tax returns for all LGIM property funds. The role holder will be expected to have strong technical IFRS and UK GAAP accounting knowledge and be able to apply it in an adaptable and pragmatic way. The success of annual reporting will be driven by a proactive approach planning in advance of year end, good project management and a disciplined and organised approach to delivery.

ROLE SUMMARY

The focus of the Fund Reporting Specialist is to plan, co-ordinate and produce the annual statutory accounts and partnership tax returns for all LGIM property funds. The role holder will be expected to have strong technical IFRS and UK GAAP accounting knowledge and be able to apply it in an adaptable and pragmatic way. The success of annual reporting will be driven by a proactive approach planning in advance of year end, good project management and a disciplined and organised approach to delivery.

The role will not be limited to annual compliance reporting with involvement in co-ordinating the approach to the interim and final audits, quarterly transaction cost reporting, process enhancement projects, supporting fund reporting teams and assisting with developing strong internal control procedures. Principal responsibilities include:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Reporting
  • Production of annual statutory accounts for all LGIM’s property funds
  • Project manage audit delivery including timetable, delivery
  • Maintenance for fund entity records
  • Production of template accounts
  • Pre-year end audit approval of template accounts
  • Production of Partnership tax returns
  • Production of transaction cost reporting
  • Other
  • Work on process review and enhancement projects
  • Support specialist fund reporting
  • Perform reviews of primary accounting records, ensuring controls and procedures are followed managing the resolution of complex issues.
  • Maintain technical capability for job, keeping abreast of market and industry developments.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of platform, processes and system.
  • Represent the team, department in a professional, collaborative, and commercially aware manner.
  • Produce insightful and meaningful MI reporting of trends, analysis of errors and near misses.
  • Work collaboratively with manager, staff and peers to share best practice, enhance operational effectiveness and create awareness of issues throughout the department.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Academic Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience is essential;
  • Professional: Qualified (ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience is essential;
  • Proven project management skills
  • Proven experience in producing UK GAAP and IFRS Financial reporting,
  • Strong Microsoft office skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders;
  • Experience of challenging historic working practices and delivering process improvements.
  • Collaborative, focused and personalised approach to service commitment, delivery and continuous improvement.
