The Supplier Manager is responsible for ensuring that value for money is obtained from all suppliers.

Makes sure that contracts with suppliers support the needs of the business, and that all suppliers meet their contractual commitments

  • Ensure IT Services are delivered according to contractual needs.
  • Provide direction and oversee policy compliance requirements to suppliers.
  • Manage supplier governance and service quality meetings.
  • Provide guidance on implementing IT compliance control objectives and provide / support gap analysis.
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and Suppliers with focus on continuous improvement and overall value creation.
  • Coordinate collection and verification of data required for Supplier governance.
  • Track and report Supplier quality and productivity gains.
  • Create Supplier dashboards and scorecards.
  • Review key metrics and overall performance with internal stakeholders and Supplier representatives.
  • Identify thematic issues including their trending as well as tracking of associated mitigation actions.
  • Create Supplier briefings for senior management.
  • Provide support for regulatory and internal audits.
  • Keep track of Supplier capabilities across the services and technology stack on an on-going basis.
  • Assist internal stakeholders as well as Suppliers in resolution of any escalated issues.
  • Continuously identify ways to improve Supplier governance efficiency and optimize associated effort

Academic Qualifications

  • Graduate calibre, although degree not essential

Technical and Professional Qualifications

  • ITIL certified practitioner is desirable, demonstrable experience of delivering utilising the ITIL framework is mandatory
  • Demonstrated history of learning, particularly in the IT Infrastructure environment e.g. conferences or specific training courses relating to IT Infrastructure

Experience and Background

  • Solid and proven experience of managing IT suppliers and third parties in a multi sourced environment
  • A proven track record of improving IT service delivery in a multi sourced environment
  • Management of Third-Party Suppliers and Service Partners in a multisource procurement environment
  • Demonstrable exposure to 24*7 / Global / Highly Available operations

Competence and Characteristics

  • Sound planning & organisation skills. Target and customer focused, proactive, analytical and a Strong operational service delivery & staff leadership experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to inspire motivate and manage a team. Self-motivated and adaptable, you must have strong problem solving abilities, a technical mindset and the desire and determination to continually drive change and improvement
  • Ability to problem solve, think creatively and adapt quickly to a new and developing type of service delivery
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability the confidence and influence to encourage business and technical team.  Must be able to ensure that tasks that are required are clear and progress against tasks are measured 

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

  • Good knowledge of Infrastructure and IT Operations for an Institutional Fund Management company
