The primary function of the Change Manager is to own and manage the flow of change to the production environments. By managing change this will reduce risk and the potential for service degradation.
- Ownership of the Change Management process - assess, approve, schedule, communicate, implement and review all IT changes and releases in a controlled manner – supported by the Change Analyst.
- Chairing Change Approval Board and production of CAB reports.
- Managing and updating change data within the IT Service Management tool
- Managing the annual change freeze cycle and communication of key business activities.
- Managing the Change Management policy and procedures.
- Embedding awareness of the Change Management policy and procedures.
- Production of weekend change reports for IT Management.
- Production of key MI, such as input in to the monthly IT Service Management report
Academic Qualifications
- Graduate calibre, although degree not essential
Technical and Professional Qualifications
- ITIL certified practitioner is desirable, demonstrable experience of delivering utilising the ITIL framework is mandatory
- Demonstrated history of learning, particularly in the IT Infrastructure environment e.g. conferences or specific training courses relating to IT Infrastructure
Experience and Background
- Good experience of Change Management in a multi sourced environment
- Demonstrable exposure to 24*7 / Global / Highly Available operations
