An Apprentice Developer with a desire to learn and contribute is required to join an established in-house development team working on cutting edge Investment Management software solutions. You will receive full training, support and development throughout the 2 year programme, you will also gain a formal qualification alongside additional training in both the Technology & Investment Management domains.

  • Develop software on agreed projects and platforms
  • Build according to the technical direction and established patterns
  • Follow application & component level design, working to standards and patterns agreed by the Technical and/or Platform Leads
  • Ensure all proposed solutions are pre-agreed with a Senior/Lead Developer
  • Follow coding standards and ensure compliance with quality measures
  • Provide 3rd line support where required
  • Contribute to the team ownership view of the platforms/systems you work on (everyone owns the code)
  • Ensure code is tested in accordance with the guidelines
  • Undertake training and follow mentoring as specified
  • Be active in Developer Team meetings to keep colleagues informed and to create a forum for knowledge sharing
  • Study and pass apprenticeship exams accordingly

Academic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of grade C or above (A ‘Levels or equivalent), in Maths or Science related subjects

  • Able to work independently or within a team framework
  • An interest in the Financial services and /or Asset Management

Work Experience - Desirable:

Applied Programming (any language)

2 year traineeship with potential to offer the role on a full-time basis after 2 years

22 days holiday plus public holidays, Pension 5% non-contributory plus up to a 5% match & a subsidised canteen
