The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving performance in one of Legal & General’s flagship Funds and will have plenty of scope for career development in a challenging and rewarding role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maximise performance from their individual portfolio of assets which will provide the individual with direct exposure to a diverse range of commercial property sectors and UK markets
  • Contribute towards the formulation of the annual Fund strategy
  • Identify and execute value add initiatives across the assets
  • Manage external third parties on rent reviews, lease renewals and void lettings to maximise income
  • Assist in the sourcing of appropriate investment and development opportunities
  • Work with and provide support to established sector specialists on select high value projects
  • Research, model and carry out due diligence in the purchase and disposal of assets
  • Liaise with the Fund’s external valuers, managing agents and solicitors
  • Assist in Fund reporting both internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain good contacts with key advisors, landlords and tenants

Requirements
 

  • Excellent academic background, with a numerical aptitude, strong A levels and a degree or eqivalent (which may be non-cognate)
  • MRICS
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience to include asset management.  The successful candidate will display a strong investment acumen and a highly energetic approach
  • An innovative approach to identifying and implementing ways to release value from existing assets
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Argus Investor and Excel
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • A team player and a good communicator
