To manage the development and delivery of market leading, compliant Workplace DC products and propositions, having a particular focus on process throughout the product lifecycle, and on risk management and audit & monitoring activities.  To manage and further develop a market leading vision and strategy for Workplace DC proposition in support of LGIM DC targets and ambitions for market share.

  • To manage the development and delivery of market leading, compliant Workplace DC products and propositions, having a particular focus on process throughout the product lifecycle, and on risk management and audit & monitoring activities.  To manage and further develop a market leading vision and strategy for Workplace DC proposition in support of LGIM DC targets and ambitions for market share.
  • Develop and deliver a marketing leading AUM and revenue generating Workplace DC product and proposition strategy that ensures the needs and expectations of identified customer groups are met, complies with industry regulations and mitigates any potential operational and legal risks to which Legal & General Investment Management might be exposed
  • Utilise and adhere to the product process to ensure products are launched and maintained according to Product Lifecycle Management.  Lead regular Product Risk Reviews on behalf of Workplace DC, liaising with all stakeholders as required to ensure all aspects are recorded and all necessary follow up actions completed in a timely manner so that the needs of customers are met and delivered in line with Legal & General’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly policies
  • Act as a Product Process Champion for the team, educating and encouraging others on how to use the process, mandating and monitoring usage, promoting the process around the business, identifying regulatory and best practice developments from both within our industry and other industries.  Deliver and communicate annual refreshes of the Product Process Manual
  • Support Workplace DC Product team’s adherence to the Risk Management Framework, ensuring that identified risks recorded across the team on the central risk management system are regularly reviewed and consistently managed in partnership with the Operational Risk team and colleagues within other Workplace & LGIM teams as required
  • On behalf of the team, participate as necessary in business as usual and product related activities associated with Risk, Group Conduct Monitoring and Internal Audit reviews and recommendations
  • Ensure regular analysis of customer, industry and regulatory activity, recommend where strategic changes may be required affecting our existing product and proposition and drive through necessary enhancements, developments and changes, providing business cases where necessary to justify expenditure and thereby ensuring the maintenance of a market leading Workplace DC proposition
  • Interface with other internal business areas and external third parties to present, discuss and agree product and proposition plans and initiatives both internally and externally to clients and partners and present as required more generally in the industry market place to ensure continuation of thought leadership and market leading status
  • Develop close working relationships with colleagues throughout LGIM, thereby achieving agreed business critical objectives either internally or externally with clients or intermediaries.  Review issue status, prioritise and drive through the changes required, making extensive use of communication skills, personal expertise and own contact network to achieve the required outcome

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • An industry qualification is desirable

Knowledge:

  • Experience and knowledge of DC workplace pension product and proposition design and strategy, and of corporate client needs
  • Experience within the product proposition and strategy team of a provider, asset manager and/or EBC
  • Experience within a risk led, governance oriented product team environment and specifically of product design, build, amend processes and of providing clear and complete documentation and compliance evidence trails
  • Comprehensive product and proposition design knowledge in relation to the DC marketplace and of regulations to achieve required standards of product management
  • Awareness of market dynamics and market evolution
  • Commercial awareness of the competitive landscape to ensure that LGIM bundled and unbundled products are well positioned
