To complete daily verification of all held asset prices received from multiple vendors at various valuation points throughout the day; ensure fair and accurate prices are used in fund valuations and within all applicable downstream systems.

  • Complete daily verification of asset prices from multiple vendors at various valuation points throughout the day.
  • Ensure any price amendments have appropriate supporting documentation
  • Update manual prices within in-house system in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure prices updated within in-house system by other members of the team are accurate
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of vanilla instruments
  • Develop a good understanding of derivatives
  • Develop a working knowledge of other areas within DMO and Investment Operations
  • Ensure queries from valuations are responded to within 30 minutes of receipt
  • Ensure queries and requests from other areas are dealt with efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all procedures are adhered to and updated as necessary
  • To proactively seek to improve and streamline existing processes
  • To produce Management Information and identify trends in deliverables and volumes
  • Complete adhoc duties pertinent to the role as and when required
  • Assist in development and deployment of process automation solution

Essential

  • Academic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Maths and English grade C and above at GCSE, or equivalent
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years securities pricing / valuation experience with a financial Institution
  • Good Understanding of different Instruments.
  • Specialist Knowledge:
  • Good PC skills (Intermediate level of Word and Excel)
  • Competence/Characteristics:
  • Good team player
  • Organised
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Highly numerate/ mathematical demonstrating good analytical skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Willingness to learn
  • To be self-motivated and have the ability to work under own initiative

Desirable

  • Academic Qualifications:
  • IAQ/IOC Exams or equivalent
  • Experience:
  • Previous exposure to Corporate Events
  • Competence/Characteristics:
  • Some derivatives pricing knowledge would be an advantage
