Take ownership in delivering and implementing enhanced operational projects/initiatives in conjunction with appropriate systems to deliver effective client order management processing.

  • To take ownership in delivering and implementing enhanced operational projects/initiatives in conjunction with appropriate systems to deliver effective client order management processing.
  • Participation in change initiatives representing the needs of the department. Proactively identify process improvements, service and risks to ensure client service is robust to meet capacity and stakeholder requirements.
  • Assist with the analysis of existing and future business requirements and help make recommendations to develop systems and processes accordingly.
  • Define the electronic order processing (STP) roll out particularly within the Client Order Management function.  Working with the team SME’s produce and own regular business plans to address client and internal education of options available and designing implementation plans and targets to increase STP for COM
  • Co-ordinate required  User Acceptance Testing with the business and manage the progress and status with the technology team where appropriate.
  • Support the development of systems’ specifications and requirements in sufficient detail to allow maximum value and input from System specialists
  • Where change is implemented ensure the procedure manuals are updated by Client Service Operations as necessary and ensure procedural enhancements are implemented and communicated to team members as required.
  • To continually seek to understand and satisfy internal and external client requirements.
  • Support the production of management information identifying and highlighting trends, analysis and errors.
  • Represent the team and department in a professional manner, understanding and anticipating the business needs, developing good working relationships with all internal and external parties.
  • Continuously evaluate the system integrity to ensure it’s robust and trusted in order to support the departments objectives to enable an efficient operational service delivery in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with manager/team fostering credibility and influence towards developing a reputation of operational excellence across the firm.
  • Work collaboratively with peers to share best practise, creating an awareness of issues throughout the department.
  • Maintain technical capability for job, keeping abreast of market and industry developments.
  • Demonstrable experience of challenging historic working practises, suggesting process improvements with the support and buy-in from your team.
  • Proven experience of dealing with and influencing staff/peers and across teams.
  • Robust technical unit dealing, client order management lifecycle experience
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
  • Strong experience of oversight and processing controls/knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of FCA regulatory environment
  • In depth understanding of key Investment Management activities, including excellent understanding of client service support, fund management and investment operations processes and instruments  including Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting, Cash Management, Settlements and Custody
  • Experience of writing user or system documentation.
  • Collaborative and personalised approach to service commitment, delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Self-assured networking across Front Office, Institutional Business &Investment Operations environments (incl. IT)
  • Evidence of effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of being flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast paced and changeable environment. 
  • Ability to understand issues, find creative and innovative solutions to problems.
  • Robust communication skills both verbally and written, with an ability to successfully articulate issues clearly and logically.
