Provide first class support to the institutional sales team through efficient and effective delivery of all responsibilities, as well as developing strong internal stakeholder relationships and exhibiting proactive external skills.

  • Contribute to sales activity by co-ordinating meetings, and preparing meeting packs for consultant meetings and new business pitches
  • Be proactive in identifying sales opportunities and communicating these to the relevant team members
  • Provide dedicated sales support including maintaining an organised database of consolidated consultant information, supporting material and records of sales activity
  • Responding to internal and external queries, requests for information and data, resolving queries fully and efficiently and in a timely manner
  • To update systems used for management information such as recording sales pipeline, pitch activity etc.
  • To work with your colleagues to identify ways to streamline current processes and procedures in order that the team works more efficiently and effectively
  • To develop your understanding of LGIMs clients, products and services in order to be able to have conversations with clients/consultants on LGIMs unique proposition
  • To be involved with our corporate entertainment schedule and individual consultant events
  • Maintain excellent working relationships around key business areas at all times

Essential:

  • Strong academic background; Degree qualified (preferably 2.1) or equivalent
  • Experience within the investment management industry including providing an exceptional level of client service and sales support
  • Demonstrable track record of dealing with external clients and building significant relationships with external contacts up to and including senior levels
  • Institutional client experience
  • Strong workflow management experience
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Knowledge of current investment market and economic issues
  • Excellent  IT skills – salesforce experience useful

Desirable:

  • IMC qualified or studying towards qualification or equivalent
  • Working within the pensions industry
  • Knowledge of current investment market and economic issues
  • Strong overall Investment knowledge including an understanding of the different investment vehicle options
