To lead a sub-set of the International Client Relationship Executive Team (CRE Team) to provide an efficient and effective support service to LGIM’s International Regional Heads and client base

Job Summary:

- To lead a sub-set of the International Client Relationship Executive Team (CRE Team) to provide an efficient and effective support service to LGIM’s International Regional Heads and client base

- To work as a (primarily desk-based) Client Account Manager, taking ownership of client issues and being the escalation point for the team in the absence of the regional heads/relationship managers

Client Base:                              Ireland, Germany, Benelux and the Nordics

Products:                                 Index Equity, Active Global Credit, LGIM’s Pooled Fund Range

International CRE Team Manager Accountabilities:

  • To manage a team (c2-4 people) providing daily management and guidance to your direct reports
  • Conduct monthly 1:2:1 meetings, performance appraisals and where required, take part in the interview and recruitment process
  • Ensure that your direct reports adhere to processes and procedures with a view to minimising risk and reducing error, thus optimising client service standards 
  • Encourage your team to identify areas where efficiencies can be found and processes can be streamlined for the benefit of the team and the wider business
  • Aid the development and on-going training of the team and client needs and products evolve

 

Client Account Manager Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide an exceptional level of relationship and sales support service to LGIM’s International clients who would typically invest in (segregated) Index Equity or Active Fixed Income strategies or LGIM’s pooled fund ranges.
  • Understand and be able to discuss products and strategies with clients, acting as the first port of call for a client in the Client Relationship Manager’s/Sales Manager’s absence Invest in (segregated and pooled) passive, active fixed income or multi asset strategies.
  • Own and co-ordinate the successful resolution of client enquiries from start to finish, liaising and utilising expertise from around the business in order to meet deadlines
  • Provide high level technical support, demonstrating an understanding of a client’s decision making process and long term objectives.
  • Identify and follow up on leads and sales opportunities with the intention of maximising revenue
  • Attend meetings and conference calls where required
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge in LGIM’s products and strategies. Develop and maintain knowledge of the current investment market, economic issues and LGIM’s views, enabling you to discuss solutions with clients and consultants
  • Proactively work with areas of expertise around the business to project manage ad-hoc queries, data requests ,client change, and new mandate on-boardings through to completion and in line with client expectations
  • Produce and check legal documentation, reports and client specific data relevant to the clients’ investment strategy
Qualifications Essential Desirable
Academic Qualifications

Strong academic background

Degree qualified (preferably 2.1) or equivalent

 
Technical / Professional Qualifications IMC CFA
Experience

Experience within the investment management industry including providing an exceptional level of client service and solid understanding of sales and/or sales support activities

Demonstrable track record of dealing with external clients and building significant relationships with external contacts up to and including senior levels

Experience working with international institutional clients and consultants

Strong workflow management experience

People management experience

Hosting external client meetings
Specialist knowledge / skills

Strong overall Investment knowledge including an understanding of the different investment vehicle options

Strong negotiation skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Excellent written communication skills

Knowledge of current investment market and economic issues

Excellent  IT skills

Experience preparing client pitch packs and client review meeting presentations

Detailed Institutional Investment product knowledge including index funds, active fixed income and multi asset knowledge

Report writing experience and project management skills

Solid understanding of client on-boarding and client change

European language skills (Dutch, German or Nordic preferable)
