You will be responsible for promoting the benefits of portfolio diversification, creating new educational content which will be disseminated via a full mix of both online and offline channels

Our marketing efforts will involve fully integrated campaigns across digital and social media, advertising and marketing collateral production supported by a high level of activity across PR and events. The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver digital and marketing campaigns activity for LGIM’s European operations, supporting the sale and distribution of LGIM’s UCITS fund ranges, including active fixed income SICAVs, the growing index ICAV range and the recently acquired ETF range

You will help to further develop email, webinar, video and podcast channels and support campaign planning and delivery for core ETFs, FBI and Future World fund ranges across Europe. You will also be responsible for managing all ETF educational campaigns in multi-languages, plus provide support for events (as required).

  • Within the UK we will be targeting wealth managers (private banks, national wealth managers, asset managers) and direct to consumer platforms. In Germany, Italy and France the sales approach will be tailored to reflect the needs and sophistication of target segments and sub-segments in those markets. You will therefore work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Distribution, Investments and Products, to develop and deliver a comprehensive programme of agreed marketing activity, including websites, webinars, videos and social media
  • Creating and curating content: Work with the Head of ETF Marketing and the Head of Communications/Senior Investment Writer to develop relevant content for each campaign, and manage the production of the tactics/outputs required. This may require producing them personally or working with other teams within LGIM Marketing and/or external providers to deliver content on time, within budget and to the agreed quality standards.
  • Translations: Manage all translation work and translation agency relationship, ensuring quality control and further development of translation capabilities for Europe (eg. Agreed terminology, lexicon for each country along with the agency). Conduct quarterly quality reviews.
  • Communications activity: Support communications activities by sourcing data on target audiences and use CRM tools e.g. Salesforce and other external tools to identify potential targets for campaigns and mailings. Manage the delivery of the overall campaign, online and offline, ensuring it is integrated with required product priorities, digital enhancements, sales activities and PR. Through these campaigns, support the building of a strong identity and reputation in the relevant European market place as well as supporting agreed sales and retention targets.
  • Reporting: Develop KPIs Contribute to regular and ad hoc Marketing reporting requirements.
  • Campaign benchmarking: Proactively research competitor campaigns, including their trade press advertising and web support to recommend change, where appropriate.
  • Materials governance and compliance: Work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure that all work is delivered in a timely fashion, in line with relevant compliance/regulatory and legal guidelines for each of the European target markets.
  • Other projects: Support other Marketing projects as required.

Qualifications

  • 2nd class honours degree in Marketing or related discipline

Technical / Professional Qualifications

  • Industry accreditation (e.g. IMC)

Experience

Industry and market knowledge

  • Understanding of UK and European investment management industry, financial markets, products and services.
  • Investment knowledge of ETF, ICAV and SICAV investment strategies and markets, including fixed income, multi-asset, and passive and active management.
  • A good understanding of the ETF market, the competitor landscape and the regulatory framework and requirements is required in order to build effective plans.

Marketing planning

  • Project planning marketing campaigns in the UK and continental Europe.
  • Supporting the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaign plans, demonstrating innovation and commercial awareness.
  • Delivering marketing campaigns in multiple languages and across different geographies (in particular, Italy and Germany).
  • Developing and delivering event plans and strategies for a wide variety of audiences.

Governance

  • Good understanding of the regulations and legislation governing the ETF business and advertising standards for Retail.
  • Experience of monitoring marketing budgets and invoice management.
  • Supporting relationships with third party agencies, such as media buyers, PR agencies, publishing, creative and communication companies, and the legal framework of contracts.

Specialist knowledge / skills

  • Minimum second language (e.g. fluent in Italian, French and/or German).
  • Maturity to not get frustrated or side tracked by trivialities, combined with the ability to prioritise and keep focused on what is important.
  • Direct experience of tailoring and delivering marketing campaigns to meet the differing needs of clients from diverse cultures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to compile compelling marketing communications activities that meet the needs of the target audiences in key markets.
  • Aware of the regulations and legislation governing the ETF business across European jurisdictions and advertising standards for Retail.

    Proven understanding of the role of events and the different experiential approaches that can be used to enhance the customer experience.
  • Knowledge of online activities and the application of digital technology to drive customer acquisition
