An opportunity has arisen in the Revenue Optimisation team within LGIM Finance, London to support the expansion of its responsibilities across revenue related activity within the Investment Manager.

Primarily the role is focussed on revenue activities related to LDI clients including the invoicing, review and guidance on fee schedules and designing of billing methods and terms. The team is responsible for the end-to-end billing of these clients including relevant MI to demonstrate invoicing and revenue trends and results. The roleholder will be expected to be responsible for their own set of clients and be involved in the review and supervision of other members within the team.  As the role evolves it will support the Senior Finance Manager in optimising revenue methodologies and processes across the wider LGIM product structure. This will involve collaboration with other areas of Finance and functions across the wider business. A goal of the team is to continually simplify and identify opportunities for automating revenue related activities and this roleholder is expected to be proactive in both coming up with ideas and supporting any development required.

  • Responsible for all components of income generated from assigned clients (primarily for Segregated LDI clients with complex trading and invoicing arrangements). Client fee schedules require detailed review to ensure that invoicing is in line with the agreement. This includes ensuring invoices are raised accurately in a timely manner and unpaid invoices are chased for settlement as appropriate.
  • The roles involve a combination of completing client invoices and the review of invoices within the team. The role will assist in prioritising the various work streams and coordinating communication with the various internal stakeholders in a team where priorities could change daily depending open business activity.
  • The complexity of the invoicing requires the role holder to have regular engagement with both the Client Relationship and Investment teams and involves discussion on various trading strategies and providing guidance on appropriate invoicing methods, working closely and collaboratively with the Client Relationship and Investment teams to ensure the client invoicing correctly reflects the investment and trading activities undertaken. The roleholder will take a lead in resolving issues and answering questions raised by clients in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Involvement in project work to review new fee arrangements covering portfolios with both physical and derivative instruments and working with the various teams across LGIM including Operations, Legal, Data and On-boarding. This will include making sure that wording is straightforward and clear to ensure successful implementation of billing methods and consistency in the business approach. This will require the role holder to become familiar with the various trading instruments used and data points available used within Finance.
  • The role holder will assist the Senior Finance Manager in providing guidance to the business in designing different invoicing methodologies to support new business opportunities across the various LGIM product structures and different operating models. Responsible for challenging the business where necessary and increasing the standardisation and automation of invoicing models.
  • Provide support in designing and implementation of the strategic automated billing solution. This will involve understanding the full solution and working with the various technical and data teams to develop the process.
  • Responsibility for making sure that the London team invoicing processes are subject to continual improvement and fully documented. Also that the appropriate processes and systems are in place to provide support to other functions to ensure customers are treated fairly in line with LGIM policies.
  • Manage a small team providing guidance and supporting, motivating others and identifying development needs. .Conduct regular performance reviews, set and monitor performance against agreed objectives.
  • The applicant should be a qualified accountant with an appropriate qualification for exampleACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Knowledge of the LGIM business and its products are needed. It would also be highly desirable to have experience within the Financial Services industry and the various product and channels.
  • The jobholder is expected to be qualified and hold an appropriate accountancy qualification. The application of key accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping and the concept of accruals is key to this role including designing and the application of controls and management accounting analysis.

IT Skills

  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and Word is required for this role. The role holder will be expected to develop knowledge of SUN, Vision.

Communication Skills

  • This role requires the jobholder to interact with stakeholders across LGIM and the wider L&G Group, and with external customers. The jobholder should therefore have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Team Player

  • The jobholder should show a willingness to openly share views and findings with other team members and a desire to take an active role in team meetings and discussions with management.

Tolerance of Pressure

  • Particularly during the busy month-end period, the jobholder will be required to manage a variety of different deliverables concurrently. The ability to cope with periods of high pressure is therefore a key skill for this role.

  • Strong numeracy skills are a key requirement of this role, and the role holder should be comfortable with key financial concepts and able to accurately handle volumes of financial data, manipulate the data for use in other financial or operational processes.
