To seek out and create appropriate investment opportunities both on and off market for the Annuity Fund.

To seek out and create appropriate investment opportunities both on and off market for the Annuity Fund. These will be measured both on the successful completion of transactions and (in the case of purchases) the relative performance of these transactions over time.

Provide thorough analysis of investment opportunities and play a lead role in transaction delivery.

Compile purchase reports including investment market trends, patterns and active parties. Forward looking views may well be presented in conjunction with the LGIMRA Research team.

Take an active role in daily post meetings and the weekly Stock Meeting, taking responsibility for the key outputs.

Accurate and effective communication with agents, occupiers, and developers.

Presentation of acquisition proposals to the Investment Committee and Group Capital Committee.

Qualifications / Key Experience

Strong academic background - Graduate of relevant degree or equivalent preferred

MRICS qualified.

Experience of structured transactions that involve financing, JV partner deals and sale and leasebacks.

In depth transaction knowledge which must include investment agency experience.

Strong external profile and presence.

Strong track record of delivery in varied economic environments.

Significant commercial acumen.

Excellent market knowledge/strong relationships across all sectors of UK commercial property.

Specialist Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of property valuation systems within area of expertise.

Demonstable experience of building and managing complex relationships.

Commercial development experience to assist with pre-let  fundings.

To demonstrate an appreciation for long term investment worth analysis, clear linkage to research views and an understanding of differing Fund requirements and risk profiles.

Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills.

Strong presentation skills - ability to present to large groups or senior people.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent PC literacy (Excel/Word).
