The primary role of the individual is to maintain our market data inventory system (IMDM) as well as the processing of all market data invoices.  The individual would also be expected to provide daily support to the rest of the Vendor Management team

The DMO is responsible for the management of data in a consistent and strategic way across the organisation globally.  We ensure the management of data meets risk, compliance and regulatory requirements.  The DMO is a cost efficient and high quality source for data in LGIM. Within the DMO we are responsible for the acquisition, validation and distribution of data.  In short the department acts as a centre of excellence providing quality assured & cost effective data to internal consumers.

The DMO Vendor Mgmt. team globally manages the Market Data supply and procurement chain, including day-to-day vendor management and governance. The team is accountable for the total market data spend across LGIM and Group whilst managing around 95 vendors. It is imperative the team understand the use of data globally across L&G.  With this knowledge we can correctly source and manage the on boarding of new data into LGIMs core systems. The team are responsible for the external data governance.  We develop functional and commercially strong vendor relationships

  • Ensure records are maintained in MDM detailing the market data services utilised. The items cover all fields associated with the internal usage of the service or application including where we have desktop or application, the pricing structure, cancellation terms, SLA, costs and contract terms that apply, contract renewal dates.
  • Invoice related administration; involving, the processing of all supplier invoices following a defined process as well as reconciling against MDM.  As well as liaising with both the vendors and Group AP regarding any queries / issues.
  • Liaising with Group Finance to ensure that new Vendors are set up in GFAS so that invoices can be paid.
  • Own and maintain the process for requesting new market data services via ServiceNow and the appropriate  LGIM mailbox whilst ensuring prompt response and resolution.
  • Using MDM, monitor service renewals ensuring the Vendor Management Senior Analysts and Manager are notified in advance of the rollover dates.
  • Own the monthly Bloomberg upload process within  MDM
  • Managing new joiners / leavers; ordering / cancelling their Market Data services
  • Maintain the online and hardcopy vendor folders/directories
  • Maintain the market data contacts
  • Maintain and ensuring accuracy of details regarding purchases and licenses held with MDM.
  • Manage the communication of all market data notifications from vendors & queries from the business that are received via the team mailbox.
  • Degree educated
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Diligent and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good mathematical and PC skills are essential
