The primary function of the Derivative Trade Processing team is to ensure accurate and timely  trade capture, processing, reconciliation and confirmation of all ETD trade executions, in accordance with regulatory requirements and market deadlines. The Derivative Trade Processing team is required to deliver outstanding value, contributing to the development of innovative solutions, implementation of new processes and strategies designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivering against clients varying investment objectives and demands.

  • Proactively support the post trade execution of all ETD instruments, including confirmation, reconciliation settlement and cash movements, investigation and resolution of any resultant trade issues and breaks or transaction entry into LGIM systems.
  • Liase with executing brokers, clearing brokers, custodians, middleware vendors, fund managers on a daily basis to ensure the effective administration of derivative transactions, maintaining internal and external relationships. Resolve queries from external and internal sources
  • Have an end to end understanding of team’s tasks and how they relate and impact to all processes; ensuring improved ways of working are constantly identified. Proactively and continuously examine and evaluate departmental processes and procedures to ensure best practice is followed.
  • Keep up to date with market, regulatory and business changes relating to the work of the department/LGIM Resolve queries from external and internal sources.
  • To be flexible in attitude towards day to day processes and issues, also to changing market practices and the ever changing requirements of the business following the shift patterns of other team members.
  • Assist department and IT to define requirements, developing innovative system or process solutions where gaps identified.
  • Understanding of key operational risk and performance indicators, including involvement in operational control meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisor/manager fostering credibility and influence towards developing a reputation of operational excellence across the firm, share best practise with peers, creating an awareness of issues throughout the department.

 

  • A strong working knowledge of the “life cycle” of a trade, and their economic components, across a broad spectrum of ETD contracts and exchanges.
  • At least 2 years experience working in a similar role covering exchanges traded Futures & Options
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast paced and changeable environment.
  • Self motivated
  • Able to work to strict deadlines
  • Computer  literate with good PC skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Collaborative and personalised approach to service commitment
  • Able to work well within a team
